Doubly Bubbly is something that breaks all the rules. I mean, don’t you want it to? Anyway, it’s the kind of book that gets put in the corner, but also likes being there. It’s a twisty straw to your mind, a swervy brainstorm of vapidity. It tells you to sit on its lap and ends up on yours. It’s carbonated with apostrophes and ellipses. It wears something lacy when no one is looking. It’s a meditative hallucinogen, a firecracker epiphany that converges to an infinite pillow. It overdoes it on the first date. It always guesses C. Some of its pages might be stuck together. But it's the truth. And you can finish it before you’d finish two martinis. Well, most of you.
